Six Weeks Before Move:

  • Call for moving estimates.
  • Call the Chamber Of Commerce and Visitors & Convention Bureau in your new town and get their new resident information packages.
  • Inventory all household items to be moved, and start packing NOW!
  • Remove all items from basement, storage sheds, attics, and plan a garage sale or charity donation for all items you don't want to move.
  • Start using things up that you can't move, like cleaning supplies and frozen food.
  • Discuss tax-related moving expenses, liabilities, and deductions with your tax advisor.
  • Make a list of all people/organizations to contact about change of address.
  • Complete U.S. Postal Service change of address forms and mail them to all applicable publications, stores and organizations.
  • Get copies of (or arrange for transfer at both ends of move) all school, medical, dental, veterinary, legal, and accounting records.
  • Contact insurance agents to transfer or cancel coverage.
  • If it's a company move, check with your employer to find out what moving expenses they cover.
  • Get a mail subscription for the local paper in your new location to familiarize yourself with the new community, its activities and issues.
  • Locate and obtain all automobile licensing and registration information.

Four Weeks Before Move:

  • Get an itemized list of all moving related costs and review with mover, including packing, loading, special charges, insurance, vehicles (if needed), etc.
  • Contact all current and new location utility companies (gas, water, electric, cable TV, phone & trash collection) to set connect/disconnect dates. Remember to keep current utilities hooked up until move day.
  • Make arrangements for relocation of pets and plants.
  • Move valuables to safe deposit box to prevent loss during move.
  • If you are packing yourself, acquire packing materials/boxes and pack items you won't need for the next month.
  • If professional mover is packing your goods, schedule packing day(s) 1 or 2 days before move.
  • Prepare any mowers, snow blowers, boats, snowmobiles (or other vehicles you won't be using before the move) for the move by servicing and draining gas and oil, to prevent a moving van fire.
  • Repair, send out for re-upholstery, or clean furniture, drapes, carpeting as needed.

Liz Souza is an amazing realtor! I’ve been working with her for several months to find my dream home in Florida. I live in TN and Liz did a fantastic job of finding great listings for me to review online and in person when I made trips to Florida. She went the extra mile sending videos, photos and FaceTiming with me to help narrow my search. She was a great advocate for me and helped me get the very best deal and value for my money. She is so responsive and would respond to texts or emails almost immediately. She listened to what I wanted and didn’t want and helped me find my dream home and was with me every step of the way through closing, providing support and great advice. She used her expertise and knowledge to ensure everything went smoothly- from the time I signed the contract until closing was only about 3 weeks— she gets things done!! She is the best and I highly recommend Liz if you need a realtor in Central Florida!! Thank you, Liz, for helping make my dream a reality!!

~ Lisa L.

Absolutely amazing to work with! No matter what I sent her she was on it. Let me weigh my options and guided me through it all. Very down to earth and helpful. Thank you for all your help don’t think we could have done this without you!

~ Amber S.

Liz went above and beyond! Liz maintained constant contact throughout the whole buying process. She watched out for my best interest and quickly responded to any issue that came up. With buying a house, there will always be some road blocks. Liz Souza is who you need in the driver's seat! Highly recommended!

~ Paula S.

I had the pleasure of teaming up with Liz recently on a transaction with a mutual client, and it was a great experience. Liz is not only incredibly professional and dedicated but also down-to-earth and fun to work with. Her efforts led to securing valuable seller credits to cover our client’s closing costs. If you're looking for a skilled and friendly real estate agent, Liz is your go-to!

~ Mike C.

We have been searching for a home for a year, with realtors who would just kinda fall of the face of the earth. Liz helped us, didn’t give up, didn’t stop communicating with us, she went FULL steam ahead to make sure we got a home! I highly recommend her! Thank you Liz!

~ Jenna M.

Liz was the best realtor I've ever had and will have. She did more things than she had to do for the sale of my house in Florida.

~ Cynthia B.

We have had the pleasure of working with Liz many times, and can say with an absolute certainty she ALWAYS has the clients interest at heart. I have no problem at all recommending her as a Realtor that goes the extra mile!

~ Jason S.

My wife and I had the pleasure of working with Liz to purchase a property, and I must say she was fantastic! From the moment we met her, it was evident she had our best interests at heart. A day after signing the contract, we went on vacation and the Wi-Fi was not always available. Although it was challenging at times to reach us, Liz did an amazing job of keeping us updated throughout the process! I would highly recommend Liz to anyone looking to purchase a property.
